Alex Gallego created Redpanda in 2019 with the vision of making real-time data accessible to all developers. Prior to Redpanda, Alex was the co-founder and CTO of Concord.io, a high-performance stream-processing engine acquired by Akamai in 2016. Alex began his career as a hacker and builder in his hometown of Manizales, Colombia and holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and cryptography from NYU.
Eiso is CTO & co-founder at poolside. Eiso is a developer who has been building early stage companies for over a decade. Prior to founding poolside, Eiso was the founder and CEO of Athenian, a data-enabled engineering platform. Before that, he built source{d} - the world’s first company dedicated to applying AI to code and software (open-sourcing the the infrastructure to train them) - where he lived first hand through the challenges poolside faces.
Anand has more than 20 years of technology leadership experience. He currently runs ‘AI Center of Excellence’ to oversee and streamline all AI initiatives in adherence to the AI vision and strategic direction at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). Since joining NYSE in 2007, Anand has led major system modernizations, including the NYSE Pillar trading system. He modernized OPRA, a market data system handling more than 200 billion messages daily with 20 microsecond latency. He also developed NYSE's first cloud-based application, the Surveillance application, processing more than 650 billion messages daily for regulatory compliance.
Raghul Nandagopal is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in engineering and architecture roles. Prior to Dun & Bradstreet, Raghul held positions as Application Architect at UPS, Solution Architect at INTTRA, Senior Architect at Cognizant Technology Solutions and technology specialist at eFunds. Raghul holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics from the University of Madras.
James loves to write code and to use software to solve practical problems. His experience encompasses a mix of software engineering, machine learning, and professional services, across a variety of industries including cybersecurity and financial services. James is focused on large-scale data processing and streaming technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and now Redpanda. As a Principal Solutions Architect, James works closely with Redpanda’s customers in EMEA to accelerate the development of production data streaming applications.
David is the Director of Developer Relations at Qdrant, where he supports a community of more than 30,000 users building machine learning and AI applications. His mission is to provide the tools and resources necessary to effectively use Qdrant's vector database technology. Previously, he was the Principal Technical Writer at AWS and a Lead Technical Writer at IONOS Cloud. With a strong background in technical education, he is committed to empowering developers through innovative resources and support.
Aashish Kohli is a product manager at ClickHouse, focusing on autoscaling, backups, and integrations with cloud providers to provide the ideal experience for ClickHouse Cloud users. Prior to ClickHouse, Aashish worked at several other data analytics companies such as Confluent and Splunk building their SaaS products.
Yaroslav is a software engineer and architect specializing in data-intensive applications, data streaming, and distributed systems. He is currently a Principal Software Engineer at Goldsky, where he’s working on a serverless data platform for blockchain data streaming transformations. Previously, he was a Staff Data Engineer at Shopify, developing stream-processing tools. He also served as Senior Software Engineer and Software Architect at Activision, where he redesigned the data pipeline for the Call of Duty franchise.
Arya Ketan is a Senior Principal Engineer at ShareChat, where he leads infrastructure projects, saving the company costs while improving performance and compliance.
He has more than a decade of experience – both as a hands-on software developer and as a technical leader. Arya has led pivotal projects in distributed systems, including developing a Service Orchestration Cloud platform and optimizing data infrastructures at companies like Flipkart and WhiteHat Jr., and is an expert in cloud-native technologies.
Ash leads development of Redpanda Connect. He is best known as “the Benthos guy,” having created the popular connectivity framework acquired by Redpanda earlier this year. Ash previously held senior software engineering roles at a number of leading companies, including Timber.io, Meltwater and DataSift. He knows more than seven knots, has a capable falsetto voice and still believes celebrities exist, even if we can’t see them. Ash earned his degree in Robotics at the University of Reading.
Tyler is a software engineer at Redpanda Data living in Wisconsin. He started his career at Google Cloud working on storage and query processing systems, and was also a founding engineer at Shortwave.
Andrew works on the Redpanda storage team. He also currently serves as PMC Chair for Apache Kudu at Apache Software Foundation. Prior to Redpanda he held various engineering roles at Cloudera. Andrew has both a Bachelors degree and a Masters in computer science from UCLA.
Prior to Redpanda, Tristan spent 14 years as a solutions architect in the big data space. He was an early adopter of both Hadoop and later streaming with Apache Kafka. As an architect worked with some of the most interesting organisations worldwide to solve groundbreaking problems using modern technology – he reports that's what continues to get him out of bed each morning!
